Swedish Partnership for Global Responsibility

Today we had a meeting in the Swedish Governments reference group for CSR held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two main topics was 1) the United Nations Global Compact 10 Years Leaders Summit in New York that I have reported about in previous posts and 2) the status report of the ISO 26000 – Guidance for Social Responsibility, the final draft.
When talking about the Summit in New York I was asked give my reflections on the meeting and I took the chance to raise the importance of making the CSR-work a sensible investment, financially. In order to make the CSR movement grow strong in the business community Return On Investment is crucial. Let’s face it – if anything, business leaders understand money. We talked about the possibility of doing this under some kind of “Swedish Initiative” amongst the participants.
