New CEO at Maxibit

Christian Ahlberg takes over the position as CEO at Maxibit HQ

Four generations in portable pioneering

Adolf Ahlberg around 1910

Ernst Ahlberg around 1940

Erik Ahlberg 1978

Christian Ahlberg 2006

In 2006, Christian Ahlberg, Maxibit Worldwide's new CEO, continues a legacy and takes portability to the next level. Previously and around the time of the Titanic disaster, Adolf Ahlberg was pleased with his portable carry case that transforms into a life belt holding 150 kg. At the beginning of the second world war, Adol's son Ernst proudly demonstrates a portable x-ray machine. Then in 1978, Erik Ahlberg starts the portable marketing revolution with Maxibit and the Original 8. Proof that portability can be found in the Ahlberg genes. 'It's amazing how the more things change the more things stay the same'!

Although the portable genes in the Ahlberg blood can be traced back a whole century, I feel as if we have just started. Opportunities in great proportions lay before us!

Just last week the Maxibit team moved into its new modern office. Not only are we excited about our new premises, but we also raised our glasses and toasted to a record breaking March 2006 with some fine French champagne. Maxibit has a lot to celebrate. We are selling to more customers and handling more orders than ever, the quality of our products and the range has never been better, distribution and brand awareness is growing stronger, and the team manning this Maxibit super-vessel is just fantastic!

This is our reality, and it's hard to not be smiling when holding the rudder and setting sail with the wind at our back. It's a pleasant and interesting journey, and one made possible by a group of fantastic partners - we'd be nothing without you!

We are however, not leaning back, lazy and content in the sun - a cocktail glass in one hand and a pair of binoculars watching the seagulls circle in the other. On the contrary, we are working hard to prepare ourselves to meet future challenges with great force!

Our strategy continues to focus on building the No1 brand in quality portable displays, and threw pioneering R&D and a strong distribution strategy on all markets we will do this. This is our path.

I thank you for putting your trust in Maxibit and joining us in this great adventure!
